Third Sin - [Written/Action]

[What ensues is writing in a disguised hand and without the liberty of a picture to be seen. It is a simple set of questions designed to let Ganondorf get a sense of the people of Luceti. His conversations will likely be short and to the point, unless he should find himself intrigued.]

At what lengths would you go in order to obtain power? For what purpose would you seek to gain it?

[Satisfied with that, he leaves it at that. Later in the day, after responding to the questions, Ganondorf can be found leaving building six and traveling north on horseback, passing the plaza and proceeding until he reaches the mountains. Catch his attention if you like. He is in no rush to reach his destination, but he does not suffer fools lightly.]

A woman has many strengths, not merely those that are physical. She finds her strength in what she can do, not in what men can do.

[ buffy finds the question to be rather...eh. it's difficult for her to appreciate a quest for power when she hasn't had to look for much her entire life. the girl has had power thrust upon her. and yet...

it’s about power: who’s got it, who knows how to use it. buffy taps her pencil on the journal's mostly-blank page as she considers her answer. because she is going to answer -- not because she's interested in philosophizing about power with this anonymous writer but because the writer is anonymous. why, after all, would someone get their icognito on in order to ask about power?

Your question needs a little friendly clarification, here. What kind of power are we talking about? Strength? Influence? The ability to turn light fixtures on and off with the clap of a hand?

They are fools, then. [It was with great practice and training that Ganondorf ever proved himself the better fighter to the Gerudo women. Go figure.] Do not seek power for your goal, girl. Prove it by your own merit, not by power that is not your own.

Let us call it the power to change the world, whether by strength of influence, it hardly matters.

And I'm guessing that -- in true argumentative fashion -- it's a world that's gotta be changed?

[This entry catches Yuan's interest. He isn't entirely sure why he's bothering to respond to this. Perhaps it's because he's feeling restless. Perhaps because he's feeling awfully powerless himself right about now.

Whichever the case, he knows he won't be doing this publicly. He's going to take a leaf out of the questioner's book and cover the journal's camera. His handwriting is far more untidy than it usually would be, but not so bad that it's illegible. Over the past few years, he's managed to give Lloyd and his companions a better opinion of himself, which is why he's prepared to hide how bitter he really is inside. And just how far he's willing to go to reach his goals.

If they refuse to see things my way and challenge me, their true motives must be questionable. I would have no choice but to remove them from my path, by force if necessary.

[This is actually putting it mildly. Innocent young girls have stood in his way without realizing they did so, only to be slaughtered on his order. However, that isn't something he is particularly proud of and he would avoid repeating such sacrifices if he can.]

Survival, to answer your second question. And that frames my answer to the first- It's really the only reason I've felt any need for "power." To that end though, the list of things I wouldn't do is fairly short.

[A man who will do anything for his ambition. Well then. This may be just what he is looking for.]

Survival is a powerful instinct. The same could be said for most.

[A small pause. Then he decides he might as well add a filter to this conversation. In fact, it was a bit of a gross oversight not to do that sooner.

Back in my own world, there weren't any lengths I wouldn't go to in order to obtain power. And what else is power good for if not complete and total conquest of the entire globe?

Regardless, I wish to prove those fools wrong. [ Oh, their situations are completely reversed and Tenten will probably envy that. ] I thought we were talking about getting stronger here though? Of course I wouldn't take someone else's power if it truly belongs to them, but power that requires effort to achieve or use, I don't have a problem with acquiring. The Bashosen, being example.

Any length, if the power is necessary for what needs to be done. But "need" and "want" are too easy to confuse, making it nearly impossible to obtain power without abusing it.

I don't think I could go to any lengths to obtain power...

An example that means nothing to the listener is hardly an example at all. [In other words, he has no idea what a Bashosen is.]

[Oh good. Ganondorf isn't so good at filters yet, so this is good.]

Few things can be considered as important. How is it threatened?

[Well now, this one is direct and obvious. Right attitude, but the lack of subtlety could be problematic.]

You believe yourself a fit ruler for the world?

Indeed. Not all men are fit to wield power. [Ganon is obv the exception here.]
