[Ganondorf had been looking for a better form of transportation at the farmlands, hoping he might find a horse fit to bear him across Luceti. He was pleasantly surprised to find his own stallion sitting there acting all cool. Given that most horses would likely be too small to carry Ganondorf anyway, this is a fortuitous turn of events. Consequently he can be seen riding back to the village on the same steed. It's quite a magnificent creature, really. Especially given how much larger than a normal horse it actually is. And... the red eyes. It later prompts a message on the journals.]
It seems as though my steed has followed me to this world. I require an appropriate stable with which I can keep him in. I have little I can offer in exchange, but I am certain some arrangement could be made.
[Later, in the evening, he will set out again, once again mounted, to the mountains. There is a certain beast that roosts there he intends to visit. He had yet to check on it since returning to the draft, but he had little reason to think it would have had trouble.]

Date: 2011-09-05 05:59 pm (UTC)Heart thumping, he clutches the tail fin against his chest as he edges into the cave. His footsteps make practically no noise, but his breathing certainly does. Soon he can make out the shape in the cave.
It's him. Toothless. Or not-Toothless. He behaved so unlike the dragon he knew.]
H-hey, bud...I-I brought something. It belongs to you.

Date: 2011-09-05 10:05 pm (UTC)It would be unwise to go any further, boy.

Date: 2011-09-06 04:36 am (UTC)H-he's--[He gulps against his suddenly-dry throat.] He's m-mine.

Date: 2011-09-06 04:42 am (UTC)I discovered this beast some time ago. He was a wretched thing, standing by the water and unable to catch his own prey. A magnificent creature like this is meant to dive upon his prey, yet he could not even fly. Neglected and forgotten, he might have very well starved. [He allows a pause to allow this to sink in, while glancing back at Hiccup.]
A damaged creature like that would be better dead. But I took pity on it and now... I have given him back his freedom.

Date: 2011-09-06 05:13 am (UTC)I-I never meant f-for this...to happen, I didn't think--I thought he would be okay, there should have--[His eyes go wide.] You? Y-you're the one that fixed his tail?

Date: 2011-09-06 05:22 am (UTC)I've not used my magic for such a purpose before. I know certain... incantations that can make a person or beast stronger than they originally were. It gave him back his flight, though it had... other changes as well. [Hence why Toothless was larger and more intimidating in appearance.]

Date: 2011-09-06 06:54 am (UTC)[Part of him wants to be furious. How could someone else come around and just do something like that? Did Toothless really lack a sign of ownership? But he can't get angry. He can't even ask if Toothless can wake up from the spell. Was that even fair?]

Date: 2011-09-06 02:22 pm (UTC)That saddle... it was used to help him fly, was it not? It would seem he has little reason to take interest in you now. He can fly on his own power now. He can hunt on his own now. What use does he have for you?

Date: 2011-09-08 07:11 pm (UTC)There's...there's really no other way? [He takes a step forward.] H-how could you just...make that choice for him? You've changed who he is! Now he can't even be himself anymore!

Date: 2011-09-08 07:16 pm (UTC)Have I? Tell me, boy, was that pitiful dragon that was unable to fill his own stomach? Or is it the one you now see, capable of doing what he wants?
no subject
Date: 2011-09-08 07:44 pm (UTC)But--but this isn't what he wants! You've taken away everything that made him him! [His voice quiets a little as tears prick at his eyes.] He...he was happy before. And now he's just...a beast.

Date: 2011-09-09 03:29 am (UTC)[Once more he turns to regard Hiccup. Hmph, what a pitiful boy. Such a child would never survive the desert. What a pathetic people to have allowed such a whelp to survive.]
I wonder, though. Would you be doing it for his sake... or yours?

Date: 2011-09-09 10:54 pm (UTC)But his tail. Toothless could fly again on his own. Even if he didn't make the choice to get it back, it wasn't fair for Hiccup to make the choice for him to lose it again, either. So what was he supposed to do?]
I...I just want what's best for him.

Date: 2011-09-10 01:10 pm (UTC)[He starts to walk away until he faces the dragon. He whispers words to it, or perhaps some spell, then changes his path towards his steed. He looks back one last time at the boy.]
Say what you will to the beast. He will not attack.
