Third Sin - [Written/Action]

[What ensues is writing in a disguised hand and without the liberty of a picture to be seen. It is a simple set of questions designed to let Ganondorf get a sense of the people of Luceti. His conversations will likely be short and to the point, unless he should find himself intrigued.]

At what lengths would you go in order to obtain power? For what purpose would you seek to gain it?

[Satisfied with that, he leaves it at that. Later in the day, after responding to the questions, Ganondorf can be found leaving building six and traveling north on horseback, passing the plaza and proceeding until he reaches the mountains. Catch his attention if you like. He is in no rush to reach his destination, but he does not suffer fools lightly.]

Survival, to answer your second question. And that frames my answer to the first- It's really the only reason I've felt any need for "power." To that end though, the list of things I wouldn't do is fairly short.

Survival is a powerful instinct. The same could be said for most.

True, though most don't have to put much effort into it. It's a bit more pressing when you're scouring uncharted territory for a new place to call home.

Or the subject of an experiment run by madmen with absolute power to who knows what ends.

[All very interesting, but not quite what he was looking for.]

Then you are content with mere survival, even without a home or freedom.

Far from it. Though it's a bit more complicated in my case. When your options are Luceti or floating in a freezing vacuum with a gaping chest wound, this little town isn't quite as bad.

Given the power to change things up a bit though? There might be some fireworks.

You are dead, then.

[Interesting. If Ganondorf had the power to grant him a future, then there might be potential there. But even that is uncertain.]

[If you've got designs on undermining the Malnosso, that's future enough for him. Don't expect more than the vaguest hints of it outside the locked network though.]

Not letting it stop me from making the most of things here, at least.

Indeed. It is wise to make good use of this place for the time you are here. Few are so fortunate as to have a second chance at life.

What about you though? These intellectual exercises posted to the network are usually something close to home for the poster. I take it you've made a few sacrifices in the name of power?

Indeed I have. Not all were worth it.

[Or perhaps none. What he once wanted is now impossible to obtain. Now he is left only with wrath.]

Any chance to turn things around when you eventually get home?

Indeed. A time is coming where I shall take charge of my own fate.

So the sooner you're free of this place the better then, eh?

Indeed. I have been here as long as I care to.

How long is that? [You're not exactly a familiar face after all. And Michael would remember a mug like that.]

Not yet a year.

((Ahh, forgot that little detail. Crafty Gerudo...))

[Well worded, Ganon. Most would probably estimate that you've been here longer than you have from that statement.]

Well, if nobody's informed you yet, the passage of time here has no bearing at all on it's passing in our own worlds. Small consolation, but sometimes you have to take what you can get.

So I have been told. For now, I only have the words of others that this is true.

How about this to reassure you then. I come from a world without magic, so the term is usually used to describe things that don't follow rational sets of rules like physics or chemistry do. After spending close to a year here myself, I don't think that's entirely true- and the Malnosso's apparent interest in studying Shifting are confirmation. Everything has to follow some set of rules, even the force that brings us here. We just need to figure them out.

Indeed. Even what your world might call magic follows its own rules. But I have yet to be convinced that what people believe to be the rules are indeed true. Our captors are master of deceit. We know only that which they wish us to.

True, but they're not in complete control. The drafts have been more than clear evidence of that. And we've begun to put together a few pieces about the world outside our enclosure, even got a glimpse of how their supply lines work.

This is true. Regardless, I intend to make these judgements for myself. I have no reason to trust the words of others just yet.
