Third Sin - [Written/Action]

[What ensues is writing in a disguised hand and without the liberty of a picture to be seen. It is a simple set of questions designed to let Ganondorf get a sense of the people of Luceti. His conversations will likely be short and to the point, unless he should find himself intrigued.]

At what lengths would you go in order to obtain power? For what purpose would you seek to gain it?

[Satisfied with that, he leaves it at that. Later in the day, after responding to the questions, Ganondorf can be found leaving building six and traveling north on horseback, passing the plaza and proceeding until he reaches the mountains. Catch his attention if you like. He is in no rush to reach his destination, but he does not suffer fools lightly.]

Basic survival. In the search for power, no other reason is more primal and true than that.

As true as it is, it doesn't sound like that's the answer you're interested in hearing.

Ambition is what sets us apart from the beasts. The instinct for survival tells me nothing about a man, save that he wishes to survive.

Depending on the person, survival is an ambition in itself. We are not bound to a code we blindly follow regarding whose needs are placed above our own, and to consciously put something before yourself, or yourself before someone, are what elevate us beyond the levels of simple instinct.

Pretty words, but in the end it all comes down to the strong surviving and the weak perishing.

You don't think some things are more important than being simply "strong" or "weak"?

What we as mortals think or believe is not important. History is what will judge our actions.

[ Well, it's a good thing that the audio isn't on, because Joshua just laughed softly. ]

When it comes to the test of time, no, probably not. But you can't have a personal philosophy with that mentality.

[It's just as well. Ganondorf no longer consider himself a mortal.]

Perhaps not.

So what do you think?

Many things. But I did not write this message to share my own thoughts, only to hear others.
